Ethereum Foundation talk, today
This afternoon (Tuesday, June 3, 2025) at 17:00 Israel time I give a zoom lecture on A Critical View on Quantum Computing. The lecture is hosted by the Ethereum Foundation and the 90 minute events will include question/answers/conversation with the Etherium participants. The talk will be streamlined on You Tube here https://youtube.com/live/HhWWkTkaXSI?feature=share . (It will be uploaded to You Tube as well.)
I plan to devote the first 35-40 minutes to the opening slides of This presentation. The presentation (click to open), contains five additional parts and we may zoom in one one or two parts at the request of the participants.
- Part II: Background: Boolean circuits; quantum circuits; efficient computation
- Part III: The Argument Against Quantum Computers;
- Part IV: Noise Stability and sensitivity for boson sampling;
- Part V: The failure of quantum computation – underlying principles and consequences;
- Part VI: The Analysis of Google’s 2019 experiment and other QC experiments
Later at 20:00 I plan to be with Eran, my son in law, and Ilan and Yoav, my grandchildren, at a basketball game between Hapo’el Tel Aviv and Hapo’el Jerusalem, and my grandchildren taught me some (mild) required songs (and advised a red T-shirt).
